Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data
www.morkanguru.com.tr acts as the “data controller” within the scope of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 with respect to the personal data of our website users. Through this Privacy Notice, our users are informed in accordance with the relevant law and regulations.

Users’ personal data are processed within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698, including but not limited to carrying out the necessary activities by the relevant business units in order to enable data subjects to benefit from the products and services offered by www.morkanguru.com.tr and conducting the related business processes; carrying out the necessary activities by the relevant business units for the performance of the commercial activities conducted by www.morkanguru.com.tr and conducting the related business processes; planning and executing the commercial and/or business strategies of www.morkanguru.com.tr; ensuring the legal, technical, commercial and occupational security of www.morkanguru.com.tr and the relevant persons who have a business relationship with www.morkanguru.com.tr; and planning and carrying out the activities necessary for recommending and promoting the products and services offered by www.morkanguru.com.tr to relevant persons by customizing them according to their preferences, usage habits and needs.
Transfer of Personal Data
Users’ personal data may be shared with company officials, our business partners, legally authorized public institutions and organizations, and private institutions within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 6698, including but not limited to carrying out the necessary activities by the relevant business units in order to enable data subjects to benefit from the products and services offered by www.morkanguru.com.tr and conducting the related business processes; carrying out the necessary activities by the relevant business units for the performance of the commercial activities conducted by www.morkanguru.com.tr and conducting the related business processes; planning and executing the commercial and/or business strategies of www.morkanguru.com.tr; ensuring the legal, technical, commercial and occupational security of www.morkanguru.com.tr and the relevant persons who have a business relationship with www.morkanguru.com.tr; and planning and carrying out the activities necessary for recommending and promoting the products and services offered by www.morkanguru.com.tr to relevant persons by customizing them according to their preferences, usage habits and needs.
Users’ Consent Regarding the Processing of Personal Data
Pursuant to Article 5(2) of Law No. 6698, personal data may be processed without obtaining the explicit consent of users in the following circumstances:
- Where expressly provided for by law.
- Where it is necessary to protect the life or physical integrity of the person, or of another person, who is unable to express consent due to actual impossibility or whose consent is not legally valid.
- Where the processing of personal data belonging to the parties to a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract.
- Where processing is necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations.
- Where the personal data have been made public by the data subject.
- Where data processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right.
- Where data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that such processing does not violate the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. In these circumstances, the explicit consent of users is not required. The services that users receive under the morkanguru.com.tr membership agreement fall within the scope of Article 5(2)(c) of Law No. 6698.
Method and Legal Basis for the Collection of Personal Data:
Personal data are collected from users electronically. Personal data collected on the legal grounds stated above may be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law and in this Privacy Notice.
Rights of Users as Personal Data Subjects:
Pursuant to Article 11 of Law No. 6698, data subjects have the right to:
- Learn whether their personal data are being processed,
- Request information if their personal data have been processed,
- Learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether such data are used in accordance with that purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom their personal data are transferred, whether domestically or abroad,
- Request the correction of personal data if they have been processed incompletely or inaccurately, and request that the relevant correction be communicated to third parties to whom the personal data have been transferred,
- Request the deletion or destruction of personal data where the reasons requiring their processing no longer exist, even though the data have been processed in accordance with the Law and other applicable laws, and request that the relevant action be communicated to third parties to whom the personal data have been transferred,
- Object to any adverse result arising against the person as a result of the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems, and
- Request compensation for damages suffered as a result of the unlawful processing of personal data.
